Leading development experts teach latest skills for IBM i
Newton, NJ - January 5, 2010 - System i Developer, the consortium of four top educators on IBM i development technologies, today announces that its next RPG & DB2 Summit conference will take place March 23-25, 2010 at the Sheraton Fort Worth Hotel and Spa in Texas. The RPG & DB2 Summit caters exclusively to IBM i development professionals who want to upgrade their skills related to RPG IV, embedded SQL, SQL tuning, DB2, ILE, PHP and Web technologies in order to enhance IBM i-based business applications. In addition to quality training on modern development techniques, the conference also offers opportunities for individual consultations with instructors.
Organized and hosted by experts Susan Gantner, Jon Paris, Paul Tuohy and Skip Marchesani, the three-day Summit also features popular development mentors Scott Klement, Mike Cain, Kent Milligan, Barbara Morris and Aaron Bartell. Each instructor will conduct sessions, answer questions and advise individuals on their respective areas of expertise.
"It's clear that people learn more and retain more through interactive, in-person education," says Paul Tuohy, System i Developer partner. "Every speaker at the Summit enjoys talking with attendees, so we all tend to hang around the common area when we're not in sessions. Our attendees keep telling us that this accessibility and relaxed approach creates a uniquely effective and enjoyable learning experience."
Acknowledging the impact of the economy on training budgets, System i Developer continues to hold Summit registration rates at 2007 levels. Registration is $995 ($895 for Summit Alumni) until February 12, 2010, and then $1295 from February 13 - March 5. Registration includes seven meals. The Sheraton has also extended a discounted guest room rate of $139 (plus taxes) to Summit attendees.
In addition to the conference, System i Developer will offer four in-depth, half-day Headstart Seminars on Monday, March 22 at a rate of $215 for one seminar, or $295 for two seminars.
