Welcome to the New New SiD Blog Site!
Writing this post has a certain deja vu feel to it. After all it was only just over a year ago (April 12th, 2014) that I wrote our first blog post welcoming you to the original SiD Blog site and introducing Tim Rowe as our first blogger.
But as we all know, in our industry nothing stands still for long, and we have decided to move to a new WordPress-based blog. With that change we hope to be able to provide you with a broader range of topics and writers.
Speaking of writers, please join us in welcoming Von Enselman and her iThusiasm blog. Von is a specialist in Quality Assurance as well as being a long time volunteer with Chicago’s Omni User group and COMMON. We’re sure that you’ll enjoy what she has to say – Von is always worth listening to. You can read her first post here.
Meanwhile, we also have a brand new post from IBM’s Tim Rowe on the subject of Modernization. As you will see, in Tim’s opinion “Modernization Alive and Well“.
Last but not least you’ll also find posts from myself, Susan, and Paul. We’re going to use these posts to highlight articles and other pieces we have written that you might have missed and also to point out useful articles and web pages produced by others. We want this blog to be a community resource, not just a spot where we get to stand on our soap boxes. Not that we won’t do that from time-to-time but …
Anyway, welcome to the site. We hope you find it useful and that you will “Follow” specific bloggers to receive email notification whenever they add new content. Your comments are also welcome and we look forward to reading them.
